Smash Into Pieces — Licorice Campaign

A cinematic social media campaign for an upcoming licorice product, created through a hybrid workflow combining AI, 3D and motion design.

Year :

2026

Industry :

Music / FMCG / Advertising

Client :

Smash Into Pieces

Project Duration :

25 -28 September 2026

The Brief

he goal was to create a cinematic social media commercial for an upcoming licorice product connected to Smash Into Pieces. The visual style needed to feel dark, energetic and recognizable as part of the band's world, while still keeping the product at the center of the campaign.

The Approach

I developed a hybrid production workflow combining AI, 3D and traditional motion design. Higgsfield was used selectively for cinematic AI-generated shots, Blender for reusable 3D product assets, Codex for technical support and workflow development, and After Effects for compositing, animation, transitions and final editing.

The Challenge

Generating the entire commercial with AI would have required many iterations, more credits and less control over product consistency. I therefore separated the production into reusable assets and individual shots, allowing adjustments to be made directly in After Effects instead of regenerating entire scenes. The campaign also needed to work in both 16:9 and 9:16 formats without losing its cinematic composition.

The Outcome

The final result is a flexible social media campaign built through a combination of AI-assisted production and traditional motion design. By using AI only where it added real value and keeping the final creative control in After Effects, I was able to reduce production time and generation costs while maintaining a consistent visual identity.
